corporate social investment
At Webcom we are dedicated to uplifting those in need. We are highly involved in a number of corporate social responsibility initiatives, including the education, training and upskilling of previously disadvantaged individuals.

• Reach for a Dream
• Gauteng Chess Development
St Mary's Children's Home
St Mary’s Children’s Home in Rosettenville is a non-profit organisation caring for children from families in crisis, on a completely non-discriminatory basis. For many reasons, including the impact of HIV/Aids on families, rising unemployment figures and extensive poverty, St Mary’s have a waiting list of children in need of admission through the Children’s Court.
The Webcom family invests not only money in St. Mary’s Children, but also love, care and support through regular social events that give the children fun-filled days at venues such as Sun City's Valley of the Waves, the annual Easter Egg Hunt and Christmas parties during the festive season. Webcom also repairs and maintains the swimming pool at St Mary's on a monthly basis, to ensure that the kids have full use of the pool.
Webcom has employed an individual from St. Mary’s Home who is currently completing the HP Business Institute Techie 101 learnership and is well on his way to building a meaningful career. He has been in our employ since the end of 2008 and has worked his way into our Marketing Team where his natural talent is shining through.
