Glen Miller: Managing Director/CEO
Glen is a Certified Microsoft Professional with more than 18 years experience in the Information Communication Technology (ICT) industry. He began his career in the IT department of one of South Africa’s largest chemical and explosive companies before moving on to the technology department of a multinational investment bank four years later. For the next eight years he stayed with the investment banking field, occupying cross border senior management positions in two separate companies, before joining The Webcom Group as its chief executive officer in 2004.
Dawie Bloomberg: Director
Dawie has a broad and extensive experience base, in sectors such as telecoms, where in his 12 years he dealt with numerous PABX technologies, call centres, voicemail and automated attendants. In addition, nine years in IT allowed him to gain knowledge of various disciplines such as IT service management, infrastructure support, desktop support, project management, business continuity planning, market data support, server support and workstation support as well as Microsoft applications. Dawie joined Webcom as a director in 2004.
Mark Gaines: Technical Director
Mark has more than 10 years experience in the ICT industry, with specialisation in the financial sector. He has an impressive list of qualifications such as Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Service Management, ITIL Infrastructure Management, and various Microsoft and Cisco Certifications. He has extensive knowledge of all of the major network platforms such as Cisco, Madge, Nortel and 3Com, and has been involved in the design, deployment and management of a number of infrastructure environments, from SMB right up to large corporate level. He also has experience with midrange server and server storage platforms, various software platforms and different mainframe technologies. He joined Webcom as the technical director in 2004.
Steve Webster: Marketing Director
Steve is the founding member of Webcom Consulting, Webcom Technologies and Webcom Software. He has an MBA from Heriott-Watt University in Edinburgh and more than a quarter of a century of experience in ICT. His specialty is project management, in which he has had 20 years of formal experience, and is a certified Project Management Professional (PMI) and Prince2 practitioner, amongst other methodologies. As the project manager behind several multi-million Rand projects, Steve has been a major player in creating The Webcom Group’s position in the South African ICT space, and has been instrumental in developing the Webcom philosophy of providing excellent customer service and delivering real customer value.
Charles Kemp: Financial Director/CFO
Charles is a co-founder of Webcom Software as well as a management consultant with many years experience. He has an M.Sc and an MBA, both from the University of Pretoria and is a Fellow of the Insurance Institute of South Africa. He worked for many years as a senior executive in the financial services industry, followed by several years of running his own management consultancy. He is a qualified risk manager and a highly skilled financial manager. Charles joined Webcom in 2004 as its chief financial officer and was instrumental in the growth of the company into the significant player in the IT space that it is today.
